Basement Bar & Living Room

When our new Arlington clients first approached us about finishing their basement, they had already lived in the home for seven years. In fact, it was brand new when they purchased it. At that time, they didn’t need extra space. Fast forward a few years and add a toddler to the mix: NOW they DO need more space.

They had given a lot of thought to what they needed: a finished basement that could serve several purposes:

1. 1. Create a comfortable space for friends and family to hang out. One that was far removed from all the toddler toys upstairs.
   2. Build a bar to house their extensive beer collection.

We created a 3D rendering to help visualize the space and finalize the design. Today, what had been an unfinished basement now features a large living room as well as a wet bar complete with beverage refrigerator and sink. Existing plumbing, electrical and HVAC components were relocated to maximize the available space we had to work with. A mini-split was also added to provide energy efficient heating and cooling to make the space comfortable all year long.
